THE CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU

Put It Into Motion Now

About image
On April 8, 2015, my son, AJ, was hit by a train as he walked to school. As I look back, I realize now how much I disconnected to the severity of what the death of my son meant to me. I, now, also know that I had to allow myself time to come to grips with how life without my son would affect myself and my family. Healing is two-fold, the mind accepting the new reality without your loved one and the heart filling in the valley of pain with love and memories. How this takes place is unique to every individual that experiences it. And even for the affected individual the path is not clear but is ever unfolding as we learn to live life again and redefine ourselves, without the physical presence of our loved one.

At the time, I worked as a Registered Nurse in Hospice, case managing clients faced with a terminal illness. In my role as an RN, I was part of a team that assessed and anticipated peoples end of life care needs. We used a holistic approach with the knowledge that when you deal with a person's physical, mental and emotional needs as a whole, it is more likely to have a much more positive outcome in assisting people to cope with the loss in a way that promotes healing. My sons' story marks the beginning of where this journey begins.

Today, I put these life experiences and skills in another direction. I have received my certification in Hypnotherapy from the prestigious Southwest Institute of Healing Arts "SWIHA." I am now currently enrolled in the advanced program to become a certified Medical and Dental Hypnotherapist. I am currently in the process of applying for membership with the American Board of Hypnotherapists (ABH) and National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy (NATH).

During my time at SWIHA I have expanded my experiences and expertise of End-of-Life Care to Phobias, Relationship Issues, Anxiety, Post COVID Syndrome, Grief, Confidence, Performance, Stress, Self Esteem, Post Traumatic Stress, Pain succession, Loss of Loved One, Distress, Anger Management, Addictions and Motivation.

I invite you to join me on the road to healing and change.

Everyone has valid questions relating to hypnotherapy!

Let’s start with information published by one of the governing bodies, the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association®. Not surprisingly, anyone can be hypnotized to varying degrees since hypnosis is a natural state that a person experiences several times throughout the course of a day. The level of hypnosis a person achieves is often associated with their desire to succeed, receptivity to suggestion and ability to respond. It’s important to note that the American Psychiatric Association and the British Medical Association approved hypnosis as a viable therapeutic tool for all patients. Moreover, it can work on anyone and is absolutely safe because it is a naturally occurring process!
"Given the mounting evidence for hypnosis, heath care professionals are increasingly challenged to take a more integrative approach and learn about hypnosis as a primary therapy or as an adjunct to other psychotherapy approaches." Handbook of Medical and Psychological Hypnosis, by Gary R. Elkins.

Hypnosis can commonly assist in treating a range of ailments such as:
Loss of Loved Ones; Trauma; Grief;  Anxiety;  Confidence;  Stress; Pain;  Motivation;  Relationships;  Sleep Issues;  Distress; Phobias; Glaucoma; Post Traumatic Stress; Addiction; Anger Management; Self Esteem; Performance; Long COVID.

Aurora is a quintessential spirit who has a gift. Her calming voice and gentle words eased the anxiety I was feeling before my session. She took the time to learn about me and tailored the session to meet my likes, as well as focused on my goals. The experience was life changing and I feel more confident, more self loving and have lost 17 pounds...so far! I have had both in person sessions as well as remote. Both have enriched me. I would recommend Aurora to anyone who needs emotional healing, strength to accomplish their goals, or confidence to face this sometimes daunting life. She is truly a gem and I will forever be grateful for what she has helped me with. All change begins with a thought and she helps guide those thoughts into a positive, healing direction.

Aurora stands out for me as a thoughtful, kind, intellectually mature and 'wise' therapist. She is very well informed on the subject matter and has a wealth of resources to draw upon for diagnostics, learning more about yourself, and understanding and moving towards treating the particular challenges you bring to her. She has access to a wealth of tools and information to assist you to prepare and boost your development prior to and post session. There was frequently so much in the session it was worth taking notes afterwards and revisiting them. Sessions with Aurora were engaging and challenging when appropriate, sometimes bringing personal emotional outcomes that serve to challenge your thinking further. Her advice tends to percolate over time such that even days and weeks after our session, new and better ways of seeing the world continue to arise. She is a phenomenal listener and, when appropriate, will challenge what you say, encouraging you very effectively to reappraise how you see the world. I came out of a session with Aurora feeling more positive, energized, renewed, and felt lighter. I highly recommend her services.

I have been anxious about taking a promotion at work due to my fear of public speaking. Aurora helped guide me through this by hypnosis. She eased my anxiety and gave me the confidence to face this challenge. I completed my presentation with compliments from my boss. This is no longer a barrier for me and now I feel empowered. She has a calming presence and the session was professional and effective. I would recommend Aurora to help you face your fears and overcome anxiety. She is amazing!

I met Aurora at college, and we did several practice sessions together. She helped me a lot with releasing my fears. I had very beautiful experiences with hypnosis and receiving responses full of love from my subconscious or spiritual guides. She had very good intuition to go where I needed and could say that after my session with her, I began to see the world in a very different way than before. I was so excited for life, and I saw the world full of love. She knows what she is doing; she is a very loving and understanding person. I recommend her highly!

A couple years ago I read an article how hypnosis could relieve chronic pain. https://journals.lww.com/pain/Abstract/2020/10000/Effects_of_hypnosis,_cognitive_therapy,_hypnotic.10.aspx While I was initially curious, I never took it seriously until I met Aurora. During my time in the military, I had five surgeries on my knees including two ACL reconstructions, shoulder issues and severe chronic back pain from multiple injuries. My chronic pain has interfered with my daily activities and mental stability most of my adult life. After just a few sessions with Aurora, her audio hypnosis truly trained me to help tune out the pain by working directly with my unconscious mind! It's hard to explain. I still know the pain is there, but I feel less anxious about it and I'm able to unconsciously tune it out which has allowed me to develop a calmer and more relaxed attitude. These days, I generally go back for a tune-up visit every few months just to reinforce what she's put in place. She's a life saver!
